One more day till Team U!

I must say, the last 2.5 weeks I spent working one on one with my trainers have been so good to me. I have been focused, relaxed, and in the zone. Positive changes have happened, and I've learned a lot about my body, myself and where I need to go from here. I am one day out from Team Universe, and I feel great. The changes we made to my diet, and my training have proved to be positive and I know that I am bringing my best yet to the stage tomorrow. Not gonna lie, looking forward to my burger tomorrow night from the Cheesecake Factory and of course I brought a couple treats to have after the show. Keeping things in check of course. :) This has been one of my best feeling peek weeks yet. I have been looking better and better with each new day, I'm not starving, but a little hungry, and I still have good energy levels. I'm sure the 8+ hours of sleep I've been getting every night for the last 2.5 weeks have a lot to do with that. Sleep is soooo important. I used to say, "I'll sleep when I'm dead" but I can't live that way anymore, not if I want to reach my goals. I definitely value my sleep more than I did. I've always loved sleep, just haven't made it a priority and now it is going to be. As I was sitting at the airport yesterday morning I was fortunate to watch the sunrise in Texas (I always love a sunrise). I was able to reflect on my path the last 3 years. It is so amazing to me how life can take this path or that. I never intended to compete this long, it was something I just wanted to try. I never thought I would want to eat clean all the time, but to be honest I look forward to my clean food, and enjoying a treat once in awhile. I just feel better. But this has become a lifestyle for me. I am constantly tweaking receipts I love to make them healthier and trying new ones. I feel like in the last three years, my world has been opened up to so many great things. Plus, I've had the opportunity to meet and work with so many great people. So, sitting here in New Jersey, eating my first meal of the day, I am feeling confident and happy with the "package" I will bring tomorrow. Regardless of the outcome, I of course want my pro card, but I also am accomplishing a goal I set out to do, and I can't forget that. There were many times along the way where i could have thrown in the towel, let my frustration and disapointment at times deter me, but i stuck it out. There are always challenges in every aspect of life. Challenges can and will make you stronger, you just have to keep going. I challenge You to stick it out, through the good and the bad. Remember the small goals lead to the big ones, and I'm accomplishing my small goals on the way to the big. Thank you to every single person who has followed me, supported me, wished me good luck and been there for me. I know I couldn't and wouldn't be here with out you. This is a long road, and can be lonely at times. Thank you for support. Keep training my friends, and don't ever give up. :)
